Learning objectives:
At the conclusion of this 6-day live conferences, participants should be better able to:
- Apply evidence-based pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic strategies to the management of patients with acne
- Review current scientific findings that demonstrate the underlying pathophysiology of, and the treatment targets for, acne vulgaris
- Discuss the factors that increase a patient’s risk for developing actinic keratosis
- Design a treatment strategy for actinic keratosis that improves outcomes while minimizing the potential risk of complications
- Discuss the benefits and risks of current agents and techniques commonly used in aesthetic and procedural dermatology
- Select filler agents suitable for use in treating different facial areas
- Design a nonsurgical treatment strategy, including potential use of neuromodulators, to address patient concerns about facial aging
- Develop a treatment approach for atopic dermatitis that achieves the goal of clear or almost clear skin
- Review safety and efficacy data on therapiees that target the inflammatory component of atopic dermatitis
- Compare and contrast the symptomatology of atopic dermatitis and the differences in the approach to treatment for adults vs pediatric patients

Dr. Stein Gold is very active in clinical research on a variety of dermatologic conditions, including the treatment of chronic plaque-type psoriasis, actinic keratosis, atopic dermatitis, acne vulgaris, seborrheic dermatitis, and rosacea. She has published articles in journals such as Cutis, the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, among others.
Christopher B. Zachary, MBBS, FRCP
Professor and Chair — Department of Dermatology, University of California, Irvine School of Medicine
Dr. Zachary is a dermatologist who specializes in skin cancer and reconstruction, cosmetic and laser surgery. A professor and chair of the Department of Dermatology at UC Irvine, Zachary is a frequent speaker at national and international symposia and is often contact by the media (e.g., NY Times, CNN, Today Show) for commentary about dermatologic issues and treatments. He is a past president of the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons.

Dr. Fowler is an internationally known dermatologist, recognized for his work in the field of contact and occupational dermatology. He is President of the North American Contact Dermatitis Group.
