He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in general obstetrics and gynecology, and by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He has served on the editorial boards of several journals and has published more than 500 original manuscripts, abstracts and book chapters.

Dr. Karram has published more than 200 scientific articles and book chapters and has co-authored textbooks entitled “Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery” and “Atlas of Pelvic Anatomy and Gynecologic Surgery” and is the series editor for the eight book series entitled “Female Pelvic Surgery Video Atlas Series.” He has directed numerous postgraduate teaching courses throughout the U.S. and abroad and has been invited to lecture and perform live surgery throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia.
